Our journey began with love, loss, and a deep desire to carry forward the legacy of a remarkable man, Ambrose "The Legend" Stevens. Ambrose dedicated his life to serving others, both as a devoted paramedic and as a compassionate humanitarian. Whether he was responding to emergencies, managing operations, or deploying with FEMA and Pure Works to assist communities across the nation and the globe Ambrose was always there—steady, selfless, and determined to make a difference. 

At home, Ambrose worked tirelessly to provide a stable and loving environment for his family. He was the life of the party, always dancing and filling their home with music of all kinds, creating moments of joy and laughter that his loved ones will cherish forever. Ambrose's greatest hope was to give his young daughters an enriching and fulfilling life, encouraging them to dream big, explore the world (as he did), and embrace all of life’s opportunities with open hearts and minds. His dedication as a husband and father remains an enduring part of his legacy.

When Ambrose passed away suddenly in February 2024, our family felt the overwhelming void left by his absence. But amidst our grief, we also felt a calling: to honor Ambrose’s spirit of service and generosity. 

Our nonprofit was founded with a threefold mission inspired by the dreams and passions that Ambrose so often shared with his wife, Amber. Time and time again, Amber heard of the critical needs within his operations and the vision he had for making a greater impact. Driven by this inspiration, we created an organization that honors his legacy and strives to fulfill those unmet needs.

Recognizing the growing demand for new paramedics in the field, we launched a scholarship program to support EMTs in advancing their education and careers. By reducing financial barriers, we aim to inspire and empower the next generation of professionals committed to saving lives.

Advancing research in paramedicine is another cornerstone of our mission. Ambrose had a deep passion for the Community Paramedic Program, and we are dedicated to carrying forward his legacy by supporting innovation. As groundbreaking technologies emerge in the field, we strive to bring them to the streets, equipping paramedics with the tools they need to better serve their communities.

Finally, deployments were one of Ambrose’s greatest passions. Through his work, we’ve met countless EMTs and paramedics who are eager to follow in his footsteps and create a meaningful global impact. Their dedication inspires us every day, and we are honored to support these individuals as they carry forward Ambrose’s spirit of compassion, leadership, and service.

Ambrose showed us how one person’s dedication can change lives. Through this work, we hope to do the same. His memory guides us, and his love fuels our mission.
